Donauschwaben Day in Cincinnati is a fest at which our members and friends come together to celebrate the Donauschwaben way of life with song and dance as well as our success with our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The fest takes place yearly in August on the grounds of the club. On this day, we see our members, both young and old, keeping the Donauschwaben customs and traditions alive.

The park is opened at 12 o'clock. Although the air-conditioned hall is open, gorgeous summer weather (usually) lures the many countrymen outside. The large outdoor pavilion with tables, chairs, and dance floor is the perfect place to spend a few nice hours with friends and acquaintances.

The program of events is started with the parade of the Donauschwaben Color Guard as well as the various dance groups in their native costumes. After the singing of the American, Donauschwaben, and German anthems, the guests are greeted by the President of the club. Awards from the club as well as the National Dachverband are bestowed upon members who have worked diligently in the club. The high point of the festivity is always the performance of the various groups, which brings everyone joy.

We are thankful to our members and friends for the support over the past years. Only with this support is it possible for us to lead the club into the future.
